One of the first effects is that the hospital will have to spend about 30 million euros between 2018 and 2019 to improve its buildings and buy new technology right away.
This investment in cash will help strengthen areas of medicine that are important to HM Hospitals, such as oncology, cardiology, and neuroscience.
The HM Nou Delfos hospital has a lot of promise to become the best hospital in Barcelona.
At the beginning of the 1970s, it was the first hospital in Spain to have an ultrasound machine. Now, it is the first to bet on a big technological advance by adding the EOS system, a new diagnostic tool for vertical imaging that makes diagnosis faster and more accurate.
This will not be the only novelty that comes from the hand of HM Hospitales because HM Nou Delfos will have the latest health technology such as a new 3 Tesla Magnetic Resonance, an intraoperative CT scan, robotic surgery, PET-CT scan, complete angiograph, unit of the woman with breast ultrasound and digital mammography with tomosynthesis and stereotaxy, echoendoscopy and echobronchoscopy and two state-of-the-art radiotherapy accelerators.
The HM Delfos Hospital has been helping the people of Barcelona for more than 50 years. It is a general hospital that can help with all medical fields except for obstetrics and pediatrics.
A new surgery block with more than 160 beds and 11 operating rooms has been built on 24,000m2 at HM Nou Delfos.
HM Nou Delfos also has 11 ICU boxes, testing units, a room for catheterization and vascular procedures, and other services. It also has a 24-hour emergency service, care in almost all medical-surgical fields, personalized care through the “patient navigator” idea, and a service called “International Patient” that helps people from other countries.
We are able to demonstrate our dedication to providing care that is centered on the needs of the patient and highlight the positive difference that we have made in the lives of our patients.
