The HM Sanchinarro University Hospital is a general medical and surgical hospital in Madrid Norte Sanchinarro. It opened in 2007 and has since become a benchmark for standard healthcare around the world.

ABOUT US

HM Sanchinarro is the end of a world project in this field, and it adds the last structures and services we need to complete the circle of excellence that gives all of our patients the best medical care.

With the opening of our biggest hospital, we took a new step based on the same theory that has guided the project since the beginning and the management experience of three hospitals. The hospital not only gives people in the north of Madrid good medical care, but it also adds services to the HM Group Hospitals that were not there before, like Nuclear Medicine (Tomography-CT) and a Radiotherapy Service that can’t be found in any other hospital in the area.

It has all the fields in medicine and surgery except for obstetrics, neonatology, and heart surgery.

It has an operating area with classrooms and a Da Vinci Xi team, which puts it at the top of robotic surgery.

The HM Sanchinarro University Hospital also has a unique feature: a new way to diagnose and treat cancer. This is shown by the building of the Clara Campal Comprehensive Oncology Center (HM CIOCC), which is connected to the hospital but has its own structure. Based on the idea of the American cancer center, it has quickly become a place where people from all over the world go to get cancer diagnosed and treated.

More than 700 m2 are set aside for basic and applied research, and there are current research projects and a unique Clinical Trials Unit in our environment.

Grupo HM Hospitales started a teaching project years ago, and now the hospital is recognized as a university hospital and for training Internal Medicine Residents.

Hospitalization

The General Hospital HM Sanchinarro has 179 beds for conventional hospitalization. These beds are spread out over 8 units with large individual rooms that have electric beds, a companion bed, telephone, TV, Internet, call and communication systems with nursing control, and 34 suites and 3 supersuites.

Emergencies

Service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and there are 7 offices, a heal and plaster room, a Resuscitation Unit, and 2 observation rooms.

Radiology Service

The Diagnostic Imaging Service has more than just the usual medical equipment:

• Multislice CT (Toshiba Acquilion) with 64 scanners that can do coronary artery scans and can do the most complicated studies in just a few minutes.
• High-field open MRI (Phillips Panorama 1T), which is the first one of its kind to be set up in Spain. It blends the highest level of patient comfort with the best possible image quality.
• 1.5 T extremity MRI scanner
• High field closed MRI (Phillips Achieva 3 T), which has a strong magnetic field and can study the brain in the most subtle ways.
• 16-slice treatment simulation CAT scanner.
• High-resolution PET-CT (Siemens Biograph 6), which combines PET pictures and CT images to make a full set of oncological and neurological diagnostic tools.

• Cafeteria: The restaurant is open Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. and on weekends and holidays from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.
