We are proud to have been Alcalá de Henares’s first hospital center, before the Socorro house, the Principe de Asturias Hospital, and the other Centers that now work with us to provide health care.

HM Vallés is a hospital for medicine and surgery in the middle of Alcalá de Henares. It was Alcalá’s first health care center. It opened in 1963 and was built in the house of Francisco Vallés. He was the personal doctor of Felipe II and was known as “El Divino Vallés.” He was also a scholar and a writer, and he was thought to be the best Spanish example of Renaissance medicine.

In 2015, HM Vallés and its two affiliated polyclinics became part of the HM Hospitals Group. In addition to 24-hour emergency care, it has all the medical and surgical specialties for people. Later, in May 2016, the three HM La Paloma polyclinics in Torrejón de Ardoz were bought. They are currently run by the HM Vallés hospital.

In addition to traditional radiology tools, the Diagnostic Imaging Service at HM Vallés has ultrasound, mammography, multi-slice CT (16 slices), open magnetic resonance imaging, and orthopantomography. The Nuclear Medicine Service, which has the most up-to-date tools that let multiple tests be done, completes the diagnostic service.

We have the Assisted Reproduction Unit (HM Fertility Center), which has its own consultations, an in vitro fertilization lab, and a place for punctures.

The Ophthalmology Unit, which has a Refractive Surgery Unit with the latest laser technologies (EXCIMER and VISUMAX RELEX SMILE), and the use of green laser medicine for prostate surgery are also worth mentioning.

They have separate Rehabilitation and Physiotherapy Gyms, as well as a Dental Health Unit, in the two outpatient polyclinics that make up the rest of their facilities.
