With 4,100 prosthesis surgeries and 1,400 spinal arthrodesis procedures annually, the Galeazzi Orthopedic Institute in Milan is the #1 hospital for orthopaedic admissions in Italy. Galeazzi’s medical expertise is further attested to by the fact that 75% of all revision orthopaedic procedures in the nation are carried out at the Institute.
It is a centre of excellence for clinical and pre-clinical biomedical research, and it has been granted an I.R.C.C.S. status (Scientific Institute for Research and Healthcare) by the Italian Ministry of Health for the study of locomotor system disorders.
